QuoteFlash provides real-time financial data on Java enabled (J2ME) mobile devices.
The QuoteFlash service is available to users worldwide.
Devices currently supported include mobile phones from all the major manufacturers, Black Berry, Windows Mobile devices and Palm OS based systems.
A dedicated financial data application residing on the user device provides all the necessary facilities to update and display the required data.
The data is updated automatically or on request, according to the user requirements.
The user can select to receive some data delayed in order to avoid exchange fees.
Web based facilities allow the user to specify the data page configuration and contents.

The EBS Forex Market Data is available through the QuoteFlash service.
This offers a solution for FX professionals who require the ability to access the EBS data while on the move at any time, anywhere.
For each currency pair, the Best Bid/Best Offer, Latest Bought and Latest Sold are provided.
Note that access to EBS data is subject to the EBS eligibility rules.

EURBS is the symbol for the Euro Best Bid /Best Offer
EURLS and EURLB are the symbols for the Euro Latest (with the indication "s" for Sold and "b" for Bought)
For the Latest Bought or Sold, the High / Low values can be displayed (one click)

EBS data can be displayed mixed with other data on the same page. The page contents and layout are fully user defined.

QuoteFlash Service Costs
The service cost depends on the level of service. See the pricing document in the PDF documentation section of this web site.
Real-time Exchange Fees
For each user of exchange real-time data, a monthly fee is due to the exchange by the service provider. These fees are charged to the user.
Exchange fees can vary, depending on the status of the user (Professional or Non-Professional).
The cost details can be found on the data selection documents for Professional or Non-Professional users (see PDF Documentation section of this web site).
Transmission Costs
The mobile network operator charges for data transfer (GPRS/3G).
QuoteFlash has been carefully designed to minimize these costs, contrary to WAP based or Push/Streaming type systems.
Typical transmission costs are 8-12 Euro/Month for every day use.
Extensive use of the fastest automatic update mode can of course increase these costs, and it is advised, in this case, to subscribe to a data package as offered by most operators.

The QuoteFlash application that resides on the phone operates under the mobile Java environment (J2ME/MIDP).
This is fully secure ("Sandbox" principle).
The application has no access to any part or information on the phone.
Also the other functions of the phone can not be affected by the QuoteFlash application.
Additionally, data "Push" is not possible, protecting the phone (and the user wallet !) from unwanted data transfers.

Practically all the support, including the application download and the set-up of the phone can be performed over-the-air.
